The Story
editAhaan meaning Dawn, is an upcoming Hindi Movie written by Vipul K Rawal of Iqbal (film) fame starring Adil Hussain. The film is to be directed by Nikhil Pherwani, who earlier worked as an assistant to Amole Gupte on Stanley Ka Dabba
The uniqueness of this movie is that for the first time in the history of Hindi Cinema, a person with Down syndrome has been cast as the main lead in a movie. Abuli Mamaji, who has down's syndrome will essay the title role of Ahaan.
The film is a quirky comedy where Ahaan, a boy with Down syndrome is forced to live with his uncle Ozzy (played by Adil Hussain) who is suffering from Obsessive–compulsive disorder The film starts rolling in September 2013 and is scheduled for release in early 2014.
