Central Alabama Society for Paranormal Investigation and Research, mostly referred to as C.A.S.P.I.R., is a non-profit paranormal research organization founded on February 27, 2013 by veteran paranormal investigator and former equipment technician, Frank H. Lee. This organization specializes in researching paranormal occurrences relating to ghosts, spirits, hauntings, reported demonic activity and how people involved are affected by these types of phenomena. C.A.S.P.I.R. primarily focuses on the scientific research of alleged paranormal activity and uses data collected from paranormal investigations.

Most data used for paranormal research is gathered from a component of C.A.S.P.I.R. known as the C.A.S.P.I.R. Paranormal Team, which compromised of field researchers who conduct paranormal investigations at locations reported to be haunted or at homes or businesses by request from clients allegedly affected by paranormal activity. The mission of the C.A.S.P.I.R. Paranormal Team, as stated on the C.A.S.P.I.R. Facebook page "is to assist our clients with any ghost/spirit phenomena they might be experiencing, educate them how to deal with negative entities, and give comfort to those who are struggling to deal with a haunting and need our help. We also strive to gather scientific data and conduct research supporting proof and the existence of ghosts/spirit phenomena."

C.A.S.P.I.R. is based out of Pell City, Alabama and primarily serves the Central Alabama area (such as Birmingham / Anniston / St. Clair County / Gadsden / Shelby County / Talladega County / Blount County / Chilton County and surrounding areas). Although the C.A.S.P.I.R. Paranormal Team has conducted many investigations at allegedly haunted locations, most of their cases involve people affected by paranormal activity. They are most well known for specializing in research and investigation related to reported residual and intelligent hauntings, demonic activity, and spiritual attachments.
