Article Evaluation 10/1/18

edit

I chose to read and evaluate the Wikipedia article The article in its entirety establishes its own relevance since it did not shift to any other subjects other than Steve Jobs and his life, both personal and private. There were sections within the paragraphs that discusses the various experiences and achievements that he garnered, but it did not distract or make the reader lose attention towards the main subject. This is a multi-author biography about an individual, therefore the article is neutral and does not exaggerate any points that was made about his life and all points are represented equally. The link to the first cited source works and it directed to an article referring to Steve Jobs' net worth of US$14.1 billion in 2016, in which the article correctly stated his net worth. Each fact is properly referenced and as in the case of the first cited source, the information came from a Business Insider article that illustrates neutrality towards the subject. Business Insider's information is up to date and nothing is missing that should be added. Overall this article is legitimate and does not contain contrary or contradictory statements that create bias for or against the subject. The integrity of the information are backed up by the sources they came from.[1]

I plan to separate the "History and description" section into two independent sections and renaming "Description" to "Overview". In the "History" section, I will add a subsection dedicated to a detailed downplay of Ramona Lubo and her impact on Southern California, who was Helen Hunt Jackson's inspiration for the play. In the "Overview" section, I will add descriptions of how the play came to be, as well as how it evolved over the years. I also plan to add more content in the article summary, since it is lacking background and synopsis.

The article is currently quite barebones, lacking textual/visual information, citations, and content. There are a few sections that need to be added and written., as well as images that can be added to aid the textual information. As a group, we plan to delegate each person to one specific aspect of the article. I will be fabricating sections and writing what is necessary into the section, adding the person who inspired the writing of the play (Ramona Lubo), the history and the gist of the play, the present-day form of the play, and other miscellaneous information that relate to the topic and the article. Overall the article needs significantly more content in terms of text, citation, and images.
