Qatar International School (QIS) is a British patterned international school which follows the IGCSE/A-levels system. It is located in downtown Doha, near West Bay petrol station. It was founded in by the Owner Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed bin Thani Al Thani and the previous Principal, Mrs Griffin in 1977. The school has a diverse population of students from 54 different countries. The school provides education from reception to year 13.

Extra curricular activities

The school offers a wide range of activities that enhance the learning experience. Sports facilities like badminton, football, rugby, swimming, basketball, table tennis, volleyball and many more are available. In addition to that there are clubs like the chess club, video games club, arts and crafts, charity committee etc. The most popular clubs are Model United Nations (MUN) and the World Scholar's Cup which allow students to share their ideas at an international level.
