About Me

edit

I am a collage student. The things I like to do are work out and play video games. My favorite video game to play right now is Call Of Duty MW2. Also, I love to play sports such as football and basketball. I really hope to make some helpful changes to some of the articles I will read. As a volunteer I really hope to help out my class or others around the world understand things with the articles I make changes to. Thank you for reading my user bio.

My Wikipedia Activity's

edit

Some of my interest I would like to read about on here are about American football and how it came to be (History of American football). Also, another interest includes metals. A interesting fact about metal is that Tungsten is the strongest metal on earth.[1]

Article Evaluation

edit

I visited the Ba'athism article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Not every fact has a source next to it to back it up, The writers used the same site for multiple facts , and Some of the links are out of date.

The sources usage

edit

The sources usage is not very good in this article because I seen a lot of facts used with out any sources to back them up. They say that in this text I read or, according to _____ is says. But its not a website or a wiki link. But if they add sources to these areas it will become a very good article that can be trusted.

Sources

edit

The sources that were used came from the same website for most of them. It can be seen as biased if you use the same website for a lot of your sources. They should add more variety for sourcing. If they add 3 more cities to source from it will come off as more believable.

edit

The final thing I wish to speak about is the link dates to some of these cites. Some of these date back to 1971. There is no way that info from 1971 is good info in 2023. Another thing it's not just one of the links, it's multiple of them. I think that sourcing a book that's 40+ years old is not a reliable source. It has to be updated or taken out.

Conclusion

edit

I would rate this page okay. There is nothing wrong with the page but it's  not top notch either. If it changes the things I stated in my essay. It will definitely improve a lot. But that does not mean that all it needs to fix there is other stuff too.
