The Counterfeit Music Company (CMC) is a band based in Denver Colorado that specializes in playing dance venues or events such as corporate parties, conventions or weddings. The Counterfeit Music Company plays radio music hits from every decade from the 70s to now.

The Counterfeit Music Company, LLC was filed with the Colorado Secretary of State in 2011 by member (Craig) Alan Currens. Members of the LLC are also members of the performing band. At the time of this writing, February 2012, members consist of (Craig) Alan Currens (Keyboards, percussion and vocals), Christian Mercer (vocals), Pat Searcy (guitar), Aaron Greenwall (bass guitar), Eric Greenwall (guitar), Chris Reidy (drums) and Marilyn Taylor (vocals).

This band's business model was conceived of by the members to follow the business model of successful corporate and event bands such as Emerald City.
