Eugenia Silva[1](born January 13, 1976) is a Spanish born model. Silva, currently the brand ambassador for Giorgio Armani and Chopard was discovered by legendary photographer Steven Meisel when she enrolled in Elite's “Look of the Year” contest. She went on to win first in her native Spain and then moved forward to the world final in New York City.

After moving to Paris to further pursue her modeling career Oscar de la Renta discovered Eugenia and introduced her to top fashion influentials including renowned photographer Peggy Sirota, who later worked with her to shoot the Oscar de la Renta Perfume campaign.

Ever since Silva's career has been in high gear, working with renowned fashion photographers such as Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Arthur Elgost, Bruce Weber, David Bailey, Wayne Mayser, Steven Klein, and Gilles Bensimon. She has graced the covers of numerous international magazines including Vogue (Italian, German, Spanish, Colombian), Elle (French, Brazilian, Spanish), Marie Claire (British, Spanish and French), and Glamour. She has since joined the ranks of the fashion elite with Spanish Elle naming her “model of the year.”

Eugenia has walked the runways of Paris, Milan and London for such names as Giorgio Armani, Prada, Versace, Galliano, Dior, Carolina Herrera, Miu Miu, and Celine. She has appeared in campaigns including Dolce & Gabbana, Clinique Happy, Victoria’s Secret, Pantene and Escada. Silva can currently be seen in Tiffany's Spring/ Summer 09 Ad Campaign.

Charity Involvement

Silva is involved in various charities, among them, WORLD VISION [2] working in nearly 100 countries in an effort to tackle the causes of poverty and injustice. She also collaborates with DOCTOR’S WITHOUT BORDERS[3] and PLAN [4] working in over 49 developing countries to achieve lasting improvements for children living in poverty.

Education

After achieving success in the European Fashion market, Silva obtained a law degree from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid.

Eugenia currently splits her time between Madrid and New York. On her time off, Silva likes to relax at her house in Formentera, an island off Ibiza on the countryside in Extremadura, where she breeds pigs and sheep and rides horses. She is a fan of contemporary art and tries not to miss any art fairs, enjoys art galleries and frequents the theatre in her free time.
