Bienvenue my name is Erin Hymel and I am a graduating senior at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I will be wearing my cap and gown on May 20th accepting my degree in Political Communications with a triple minor in History, Political Science, and Disaster Science and Management. I am from Morgan City, Louisiana - for those unfamiliar with the area, Morgan City is usually always included in the little red cone used to predict where a hurricane will hit when it enters the Gulf of Mexico. I hope to attend graduate school for my Master's of Public Administration to one day create and implement disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery policy.
