Joesph E. Keller SJ (July 25, 1827 – February 4, 1886) was an American Catholic priest and Jesuit.
Keller was born on July 25, 1827, in Kandel, Palatinate, in the Kingdom of Bavaria.[1]
He entered the Society of Jesus on July 12, 1844, through the order's Missouri Province.[1]
Keller was ordained a priest on February 2, 1863.[1]
On August 15, 1869, Keller became the provincial superior of the Jesuits' Maryland Province, succeeding Angelo Paresce.[2]
His tenure as provincial superior came to an end on May 8 ,1877, when he was succeeded by Robert W. Brady.[2]
Keller died on February 4, 1886, at Villa San Girolamo in Fiesole, Tuscany.[3]
