= Introduction of Koli Kutchi koli people =

In earlier time the Kohli were living in Gujrat which is a Province of India. In Gujrat they were in Wagad area so the calls Wagadia Kohli also, and Wagad area is very near to Runn Kutchh that’s why my people call Kutchhi Kohli. So my Tribal people called by different names cause of places where they were living, As Kutchi Kohli, Wagadia Kohi. And some time only Kutchhi

Runn Kutchh is between to Pakistan and India, between Ther Par Ker and Gujrat. Runn Kutchh is 300 km long and there is no human because there is no food and water. India’s place Bhuj is nearest city from Runn Kutchh now a day’s its very big city and its around area is called Kutchh Bhuj and my old people talks a lot about Kutchh Bhuj.

Waged is very Huge area and Radan Poor and Palan Poor is major cities of Wagad and often my people talks about these cities also. Radan Poor is main city of my Kutchhi Kohli. Zam Nager, Bela, Patan, Mandowi, and Gandi city is also in Waged.

There is nothing any river and farmers was depends on Rain, but in these days many tube walls are there for getting water. In Waged there are many Deer and Peacocks so many people come to see.

Kutchi Koli in Pakistan

The Koli Hindu tribes are located in southeastern Pakistan. They are primarily concentrated in the fertile flood plain of Sindh State. There are several major subdivisions of Koli in that area, including the Parkari Koli, the Wadiyara Koli, the Kutchi Kohli and the Tharadari Koli. But in this web I am going to tell you about Kutchi Koli. Kutchi Koli tribe known by different names as Kutchi Koli, Wagedia Koli, Kutchi Wagedia. Let me tell you that why this tribe known by these names. Actually this tribe belongs from Gujrat which is a province of India, In Gujrat Kutchi Koli lives in Waged area and Runn Kutch area is close there that’s why we called Wagedia Koli means who lives in Waged are ,and also Kutchi Koli, means who lives near Runn Kutch. So that’s the reason to known as different names.

Kutchi Koli people are very hard working people. They spend their whole life in farming, Even they earn or not. In Pakistan its about 550000 Kutchi Koli people situated here but majority lives in villages and works under Land Lords. This tribe has very different tradition and culture and you will surprise to see some

Living Style

Houses

As i told that majority of Kutchhi Kohli have no their own land to live and farming and they farm under Land Lords.

Kutchhi Kohli lives in villages and they don’t lives at one place for long time, there are many different reasons of it. So that my people create huts with mud so they can migrate easily to other place. You can see Photos of huts 

Koli houses vary from region to region. Majority of the people live in simple houses with thatched roofs, mud walls, and dirt floors, most of the people live in poverty

Work

Agriculture is the basis of the Koli economy. As sharecroppers, they raise cotton, wheat, rice, sugarcane, corn, and oil seeds. The biggest problem for the farmers is the control of the water supply. Some of the tribes live near the eastern tributaries of the Indus River, which serve as an irrigation system for their crops. However, most of the farmers are dependent on canal irrigation from the Indus Flooding along the Indus is common after heavy rains, which occur from July until August. Unfortunately, the flooding has caused serious deforestation, soil erosion, and water logging. Much of the groundwater in the region has also become salty and unfit for agricultural use. Surface drains have been built to help solve these problems.

Wedding

Kutchi are divided into exogamous clans, which means that they are not permitted to marry within their own families. So parents find partner as for wife or husband for their son or daughter. And before marriage boy and girl strictly not allowed to see each other

Dressing

There are different dresses for different kind of people as young, old, married and virgin. You can see in pictures in Photos tag.

Weapons

In past Kutchi Koli were using stones and some wood weapon for their safety. Bu t now a days they use axe which they learnt fron Sindhi people and also they use guns.

Cattle
