Kori Carothers - ElectrAcoustic Fusion Musician

Kori Carothers was born in the USA, raised in Utah, Minnesota and Texas.She is an ElectrACoustic Fusion [1]Instrumental musician. Kori is deaf in her left ear, but that did not stop her from becoming a composer. One of her favorite classical composers "Beethoven" became deaf, this was a influence to her. She currently resides in California. Her music fuses organic and electronic instrumentation. Her music has been compared to Yanni, Enya, Vangelis, Suzanne Ciani, and Berni Koch.

She is of a new breed of independent musician that create and compose their music mainly for the love of music but depend on the Internet and live performances for people to hear and enjoy it. She is unique in that when she releases her next album, she will release it digitally with a digital booklet. Besides working on her 3rd full album, Trillium, Kori is also the mother of four kids and is their teacher, responsible for home schooling.

History

Kori began her musical journey by listening to a fusion of Jazz, Rock, Classical, Instrumental sounds from 1970 - 1986. She began composing a different style of music that most people would call New Age from 1986 - present time. Due to various contraints, her music was not released until 2004. The genre ElectrACoustic Fusion Instrumental is a "fusion" of organic and electronic instrumentation.


What is ElectrACoustic Fusion?

This genre is all in its own class. The misnomer of "New Age" cannot really describe the fusion of electronic and organic elements. Hence the name ElectrACoustic Fusion or EAF. What would be considered EAF? Musicians that use organic and electronic instrumentation.
