The College of Letters and Science is the largest center of teaching and research at the University of California, Santa Barbara. It is the largest of the university's three undergraduate colleges, with over 17,000 undergraduates representing over 90% of all undergraduates. The College also enrolls some 1,700 graduate students in master's and doctoral degree programs. It has almost 700 full-time "ladder rank" faculty members.[1]

Within a liberal arts curriculum, undergraduates may choose from close to 80 majors and 37 minors leading to four degrees: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Bachelor of Music.[2]
