The Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB) is a research unit funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia[1]), located at University of Minho as hosting institution in Portugal.[2] Core research is allocated to 3 interdisciplinary thematic areas that cover the molecular, cellular and process scales, viz.: Industrial and Food Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Environmental Biotechnology and Bioengineering, and Health Biotechnology and Bioengineering. In summary, CEB aims to be a strategic infrastructure for the development of R&D and innovation policies in the areas of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Biomaterials, Biomedical and Life Sciences, Environmental and Agricultural Sciences.
