lgbtNoise is an independent non-party political group in Ireland campaigning for the full civil rights for all people irrespective of gender and sexual identity.[1] It was founded in 2007 loudly make protest about same-sex civil marriage.[2] They protested the Civil Partnership bill at Dublin Pride, claiming it didn't go far enough.[3][4]

March for Marriage edit

lgbtNoise held an annual March for Marriage in Dublin from 2009 until 2014. [5]

The first, on 9 August 2009 was organised along with Amnesty International Ireland and Union of Students in Ireland, and marched from City Hall to the Department of Justice at Stephen's Green.[6]. On 22 August 2010, the second march had 3,000 attendees on the same route, and protested the recently passed Civil Partnership law.[7]. The third, on 14 August 2011 had thousands of marchers, and pointed out differences between Civil Partnership and civil marriage.[8]
