S.H.I.E.L.D is an upcoming 2013 American superhero film. Based on the fictional organization S.H.I.E.L.D. from Marvel Comics and produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures, the film will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will star Samuel L. Jackson, reprising his role as Nick Fury.

Develoment

In May 2010, Samuel L. Jackson said that a S.H.I.E.L.D movie is likely to be released after The Avengers. Jackson also confirmed that War Machine will appear in the film.

Cast

• Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury: Jackson will reprise his role as Fury as part of his deal containing an option to play the character in up to nine future Marvel superhero films, which efforts are expected to include Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers and "The Shield" as well as potential sequels.
• Don Cheadle as Lt. Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes/War Machine: Jackson confirmed that War Machine “is gonna show up a lot” in the film.

Also being considered for roles in the film are Scarlett Johannson as Natasha Romanoff, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, and unknown actors for Sharon Carter and General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.
