In the world of ideas, Wikipedia brings the ideas and information together, and systematises them. In our modern world, we are often overwhelmed by these things, so it's useful to try and find some meaning and order behind this seemingly disjointed and jumbled flood. Many hands make light work!
As I've done my research in various areas that interest me, it seemed that Wikipedia entries were turning up more and more in my search results... and proving to be increasingly useful.
