First, add this to your userpage. Then, I would like to know your interests here on the project.
Cheers!
(Sorry, have I interrupted here? It just felt like the best place to list this.)
My interests are, well, rather general. One of the things I want to get out of Wikipedia is to learn new things for the purposes of improving articles, so it'll really depend on what catches my eye: I'm a student at Aberdeen University so I'll have access to source materials galore.
Still, off the top of my head I can think of a few things:
- Geological topics in general (I'm a Geology student, so this sort of thing ought to, eventually, be my calling card; I'm particularly interested in volcanoes and plate tectonics);
- Ancient history/civilisations;
- Generalised oddities (I know that's not very specific, but examples I've found through Wikipedia include the ever-popular Micronations and Seasteading).
I'm going to try and stay away from politicised topics, as I'm one of those guys who can t really see through his biases properly ('Thatcher' is a profanity in my family).

- Alright, I would advise that you join my project, WikiProject Earthquakes, AND WikiProject Volcanoes. Try improving an article at either of these projects. —Sunday Scribe 23:29, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

My Criteria
editAlright, Dougano. Normally this is a criteria i have written up for my adoptees. First, i would like to see a good article, if possible. Find a referencable article on something you enjoy. Add references, expand it, and make sure it meets the GA criteria. You can always ask me to review it first. Then, after it passes, generally I like the adoptee to create some did you knows. You'll never have to do featured articles with me, I'm not that mean (: . After you've done that, I'll elaborate more. There will probably be three steps to my adoption, and then you'll pass! Cheers, --Lord₪Sunday 14:48, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, work's been insane. I'll have a rummage today for an article to push for GA status, and I'll let you know here once I've got one. Dougano (talk) 08:25, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Again, sorry for the delay. I've just moved to my new university, and it's chaos (I still don't have internet: I'm writing this in the Library). I should have internet up soon enough though; if I'm not back in a fortnight I've probably managed to enrage BT or something. I'll drop you a line on your talk page to let you know when I'm back.
