Hello World!

I'm a daily Wikipedia user, who for the past few months has been engaged in trying to learn more about what changes I need to make to my lifestyle, in order to be as healthy as possible in the future. Wikipedia has been an invaluable resource in assisting me in this regard, helping to present the basic concepts in ways that I, as a non-expert, can understand. Over and over again, Wikipedia has been the starting-point from which I have been able to launch myself, with an understanding of the basics in this or that area of health, into the whirlwind of unsorted internet information on some aspect of nutrition, exercise, or diet supplementation.

But there are a few spots where it seems to me that Wikipedia has not yet been updated to include the information that I think would be most useful to people like me. With this consideration in mind, I have created this username so that I can work on updating some existing pages (and perhaps creating some new pages) that may prove useful.

I have been editing Wikipedia, under some other names, for about six years now; my primary interest has been architecture, twentieth-century painting, and an eclectic mix of history, politics and legal theory. But I have never had any original or useful thoughts regarding personal health or lifestyle, and in consequence I plan to be very cautious in what I post. My goal is to simplify access to the kinds of information that I have had to exit Wikipedia in order to find, but only to add information that is completely non-controversial. Having absorbed this information in a manner that was made somewhat easier in the future than it has been in the past, readers will then be able to move on to read the non-consensus literature elsewhere, prior to making their own decisions about their own lifestyle choices.

Cheers!
