The health effects of soybeans and soy products has been subject to extensive research, primarily focused on the presence of isoflavone. Isoflavone, a type of phytoestrogen, has been associated with the mitigation of several postmenopausal diseases including osteosarcopenia (a combination of osteoporosis and sarcopenia)[1] and obesity.
