The 2013 IFMAR 1:10 Electric Off-Road World Championship was the 15th edition of the biennial IFMAR World Championships for 1:10 radio-controlled electric off-road buggies sanctioned by the International Federation of Model Auto Racing (IFMAR) to be run over two separate classes over eight days on 22nd through 29th September with each class running for three days each in total.

The IFMAR 1:10 Electric Off-Road World Championship was organized by A-Main Hobbies, a hobby retailer, on behalf of Remotely Operated Auto Racers, taking place at the Silver Dollar R/C Raceway in Chico, California, a circuit belonging to the retailer built with the purpose to host the event. It became IFMAR's first event in 1:10 off-road at the state of California since 1997.

Team Associated's Ryan Cavalieri was the defending champion of both 2WD and 4WD classes. The 2WD was won by Kyosho's Jared Tebo of the United States, becoming the Japanese manufacturer's first 1:10 off-road title since 1987, also achieved by an American (Joel Johnson). In the 4WD class, Steven Hartson, also of the United States, had narrowly beaten Yokomo's Naoto Matsukura of Japan to win the championship following a collision before the final corner when Matsukura's Yokomo attempted to complete a huge jump in an attempt to take the lead, landed instead on Hartson's car. As a result of this collision, he ceded his lead to allow Hartson to pass for the win, enabling Team Associated to successfully defend its title.

The World Championship takes place at Silver Dollar R/C Raceway in Chico, California, it marks the first time that any IFMAR Worlds took place in the state of California since 1997, when it was also for the 1:10 off-road buggies at the Ranch Pit Shop in Ponoma.

The circuit, owned by online hobby retailer A-Main Hobbies, was built 18 months before with the greater intention to host major events to making profits and a month prior to this had been used to host the ROAR 1:10 Off-Road Nationals.[7]

The venue made a bid for the 2016 IFMAR 1:8 Off-Road World Championship[8] but lost out to RC Tracks Las Vegas.[9]

The circuit, designed by Kevin Jelich, underwent its fourth configuration before the start of the Worlds as required by IFMAR regulations.

During the Pre-Worlds in June, many drivers voiced their complaints about the lack of traction on the surface and the need of coating the circuit with sugar and soaking it up overnight to make up for the lack of traction.[10]
