Franco Angeloni. Visual/conceptual artist born in Rome (Italy) in 1967. He has been living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands since 1990. His work is difficult to classify within the most common artistic parameters only.

Over the years, his creative activities have become increasingly fragmented, taking on a form and manner that very often invades fields that are far beyond those traditionally connected to the visual arts. As a result of this, the new digital communication technologies, as well as the globalizing of the social structure and the environmental concerns, have been adopted by Angeloni to make the very definition of Art more flexible.

Being an inexhaustible links-seeker among Nations, groups and individuals, Angeloni has thus subtly included in his work signs that often make the public wonder whether what they are seeing/attending is art or indeed something “other”.

Among the many works produced in his 15 years long creative activity, it is worth noting one of them in particular: The Super Genetic Market, an art project which is a hilarious parody on the most recent research made, by the bio-tech industry and its patrons, in the fields of genetic engineering. See: supergenetic.com.

Currently he works in three major cities: Amsterdam, Bangkok, Rome.
