Hello! I am a Junior studying Food Science at Cornell University. Here at Cornell, I am Co-Director of a startup called Anabel's Grocery. Anabel's Grocery is a student-run, low cost grocery store that aims to alleviate the burden of food insecurity on Cornell’s campus by providing students with healthy, accessible, and affordable food. My goal is to develop a Wikipedia page devoted to Anabel's, as our model of addressing food insecurity on college campuses is novel and information about our store is in high demand. I will be searching for articles on food insecurity and food deserts, as well as food access within the realm of higher education. I'm excited to join the Wikipedia community because this is such a wonderful platform for sharing knowledge, and I believe that sharing information on Anabel's Grocery has the potential to better the lives of college students nationwide. From this experience I hope to better my communication skills, as well as learn more about engaging with an online community.
