Linda T. Darling is an American historian focusing on the Ottoman Empire. She is currently a Professor of Middle Eastern history at the Univeristy of Arizona. She received her PhD from the University of Chicago where she studied under Halil İnalcık. She was the president of the Ottoman and Turkish Studies Association from 2014 to 2017.
