About me edit

I am a paid employee of the Library of Congress. We are working to make our holdings, publications, and other resources more accessible to the public by engaging directly with Wikipedia.

I have been at the Law Library of Congress since December 1998. I serve as a reference specialist for the Educational Outreach Team. I also coordinate and contribute to the Teaching with the Library of Congress blog and twitter feed.

Conflict of interest statement edit

When I am editing Wikipedia as part of my official professional duties, I always strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. Because the educational mission of the Library of Congress is in line with Wikipedia's mission to disseminate knowledge freely, I will not make edits that I do not believe are in accordance with Wikipedia's practices and procedures. Therefore, I will not make substantive edits to articles related to the Library of Congress as an organization (e.g. Library of Congress or its personnel. Instead, if I edit articles, they will be to contribute subject matter expertise, for example to improve articles about Library of Congress physical or digital holdings. The Library of Congress work on Wikipedia is being governed by internal guidelines. If you believe I have made an error or violated Wikipedia’s norms, please do not hesitate to contact me.
