Eduardo Balarezo is a student at Berklee College of Music who studies Film Scoring. He is a young composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer from Guayaquil, Ecuador. He is finishing his Film Scoring Bachelor studies on May 13 and starting his Master's program at Berklee,Valencia on Fall 2017. After graduating, Eduardo Balarezo plans to travel to Havana, Cuba, with the porpoise of studying clarinet and cuban music.

Musical Background and Outlook edit

Eduardo Balarezo was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. At age of 13, he was diagnose with Osgood- Schlatters a disease that affects the knee, causing extreme pain, and forcing to retire from his passion for Baseball. During the following years, Eduardo tried different hobbies, including surfing, chess, mounting biking and paintball, unfortunately they all affected the knee, so sport practicing had to immediately stop . On 2009, his school teacher Manolo Castro notice his facility for instruments and started mentoring him. During his teenage years, Eduardo performed classical piano on conservatories in Guayaquil and Quito, had a rock band playing during the weekends in "Salinas Yacht Club" and started recording demos in his room. At age of 18, he felt a strong desire to compose that never left him, so he started studying on Berklee's BIN school at Quito, Ecuador. Composing advertising music for "Budweiser Beer Festival 'Bielandia'" and chamber music for his guitar quartet. The opportunity to study abroad presented itself, by applying to the Ecuadorian Government (Senescyt) full scholarship, Eduardo was as allowed to study at Berklee College of Music. Currently, he is writing jingles and scoring for Ecuadorian commercials, such as Mazda, Claro and Banco de Guayaquil.
