Other facts edit

I worked for De La Rue (banknote printers) in Gateshead, UK for 7 years in various Technical and Engineering roles, then moved into the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1984 and worked, based in Morpeth Northumberland, (for a company that eventually became part of Pfizer) until 2006 in Engineering, production management and Information Technology. I joined an IT validation and compliance consultancy in 2006 and moved to the United States in November of that year. I now work for myself with details to be found on www.davidHHawley.com

I have ridden motorcycles for 35 years and have been involved with Motorcycle racing for almost as long. I have been a member of various motorcycle racing clubs in the UK. I held an ACU Clerk of the Course licence for 20 years and have been a member of Racesafe Marshals Association since its founding. I am currently series Chief Marshal for the MotoAmerica Superbike championship and Flag chief for the Austin MotoGP since 2016.

Articles I've created or edited edit

I created the article on Racesafe Marshals Association and have been involved in editing and updating various articles on Mathematics, Good Manufacturing Practice and Motorcycle Racing. As I am rather pedantic about grammar and spelling I have also made minor edits to other odd articles where I have no expertise in the subject matter but there are obvious typographical errors.
