The Phaeotheca are a genus of fungi, within the monotypic family of Phaeothecaceae Darveaux, and within the monotypic order of Phaeothecales Abdollahz. & Crous, within the class Pucciniomycetes.[2] They are parasitic on plants or saprobic on rotten wood.
