Team Banter Football Club Team Banter Football Club (TBFC) is an established 5-a-side football outfit on the Cambridge Footie Fives Leagues. Their most notable success to date is being crowned Cambridge Tuesday Division 1 Champions in Season 40 in 2013. This is despite forfeiting a game during the season to the bottom team due to lack of players available. They are currently 2nd in Division 1 in the Tuesday League system and are 4th in Division 1 in the Monday League system. In the Monday league they are known as 'Bayer Neverlosen'.

Player/Manager: Oliver Wheddon

Squad:

Alaisdair McNaughten (GK)

Alex Fulchur (DF)

Chris Fulchur (FWD)

David Clarkson (MID)

George Hider (MID)

Yuki Shiroo (MID)(out on loan)

Daniel Osei (FWD) (out on loan)

Summer 2013: Calls for Wheddon's resignation in July 2013 were almost fruitful when the team failed to appear in 3 successive games ultimately costing them the season 41 Division 1 title in the Tuesday League. However, he turned it around with the astute signing of McNaughten on a free after the departure of former goalkeeper Chris Daines. The lack of money spend led to a 'Wheddon Out' Campaign. Wheddon said in response 'I do what I want.' This provoked an angry response from the fans leading to a boycott of some later fixtures. However, the emergence of Chris Fulchur from the youth academy and the extent of the club's scouting network settled fears. This was helped by the club's upturn in results and their subsequent challenge for silverware.

Autumn 2013: The team when unveiling a new kit declared their word for the coming months as 'unity' and Hider was quoted as saying 'We back Wheddon through thick and thin. He built this club and he turned it around after a tricky period.' The team then went on to beat top of the league Legends FC 2-1 thanks to goals from Clarkson and C.Fulchur.
