David Martsolf (born 1949) is a native born American surrealist painter, abstract sculptor, and metaphysical writer. He studied architecture at the Massachusets Institute of Technology and Fine Arts at the University of New Hampshire, receiving a B.A. in the Arts in 1985. His work has been exhibited in solo shows in New England and in group shows across the United States from 1977 to 2012. Original oil paintings have been sold in New England and New York and as prints through representative Internet fine arts web sites to clients around the world. In 1981 Martsolf won the Juror's Prize at the "UNH Revisited" Alumni Show at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH, and in 1985 won the Sawyer Memorial Award for Painting at the 38th Annual New Hampshire Art Association Exhibition, Currier Gallery of Art, Manchester, NH.
