Shane Quick (born February 28, 1979) is an American concert promoter and entrepreneur known for his contributions to the entertainment industry over a career spanning two decades. Notable aspects of his career include his involvement in organizing Rock the South, which is ranked by Billboard as one of the nation's best country music festivals[1], and his leadership role in elevating Premier Productions to prominence as a top promoter globally[2][3]. Currently, Quick oversees the curation of over 600 shows annually across the world.[4]
Early life
editShane Quick was born on February 28, 1979, in Cullman, Alabama. Son of Joyce and Millard Quick, he primarily lived with his grandmother, Linnie Mae Quick. Despite facing hardships early in life, including divorce, loss and substance abuse, Quick developed a passion for music during his adolescence, particularly excelling as a drummer in his high school marching band.[5] Although he did not complete high school, Quick later pursued further education at Wallace State Community College before attending the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Career
edit1998: Quick founded Real Life Entertainment in honor of his late brother, with a focus on promoting and supporting Christian events. Shane's career gained momentum with Casting Crowns, marking a significant breakthrough in his professional journey.[5]
2006: Real Life Entertainment was acquired by Gary Gentry and Roy Morgan, owners of Premier Productions, a prominent Christian music promoter. Quick's role expanded as he became a co-owner, contributing to Premier Productions' rise as a leading global promoter in the faith and family entertainment sector. [5]Premier Productions achieved notable recognition, ranking as the largest promoter for faith and family,[6] #4 promoter in the nation, and #13 globally.[3][2]
2012: Quick played a pivotal role in establishing Rock The South festival, initially conceived as tornado relief for Cullman. [7]Over the years, the festival grew into one of the nation's largest country music events, earning its place as the 6th best country music festival in the United States.[1] [8]Since its inception, the festival has not only provided a significant economic impact[9] to the small city in Alabama[10][11] but has also hosted big names in Country Music, including Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams Jr., and more.
2018: Quick founded Round Table Management, further diversifying his ventures within the entertainment industry. [4]
2021: Premier Productions and Round Table Management were acquired by Waterland, a private equity group based in Denmark. [12]
2023: Quick was appointed President of Touring & Strategic Expansion at LiveCo, focusing on developing new opportunities in productions, tours, venues, and festivals.[13]

editIn 2018, Shane Quick married Laura L. Quick. Together, they share two sons: Ethan Quick and Clay Brown.
Achievements
