Ho-Kago Tea Time is a fictional music group from the anime K-on!. The band was founded by Ritsu Tainaka and has 5 active member including Ritsu Tainaka(Drums), Mio Akiyama(bass), Tsumugi Kotobuki(also known as Mugi)(keyboard), Yui Hirasawa(1st guitar), and Azusa Nakano(2nd guitar). Ritsu, Mio, and Mugi were first to join the band in 2007 followed by Yui about 2 weeks later. In 2008, Azusa joined the band after hearing them playing at a concert in there school

First Stage edit

The first stage of the band consist of Ritsu Tainaka, Mio Akiyama, Tsumugi Kotobuki, and Yui Hirasawa and has 3 albums and 6 songs (not including Instrumentals)

Fuwa Fuwa Time edit

  • Fuwa Fuwa Time, (ふわ ふわ ちめ) was the first song written by Ho-Kago Tea Time and was played at their first concert and is a fan favorite. The major vocal roles went to Yui and Mio
  • Tsubasa Wo Kudasai, (つばさ を ください) is not ever played in the anime or manga, but is available on spotify[1]. It is based off of a japanese folk song, Tsubasa Wo Kudasai. Major vocals went to Ritsu, Yui, and Mio

Cagayake! Girls edit

  • Cagayake! Girls is the fist opening to the anime. The major vocal roles go to Yui
  • Happy!? Sorry!! is also only available on spotify[2]. again, the major vocal roles got to Yui

Don't Say "Lazy" edit

  • Don't Say "lazy" is the first closing of the anime. Major vocal roles got to Mio
  • Bitter Sweet Beauty Song is only available on spotify[3]. Major vocal roles are shared by Mio and Yui

The second Stage of the band introduces Azusa to the band and with her, many more songs. This Stage has 7 albums and 20 songs

  • Pure Pure Heart is a song played for the Mio fan club which started after she tripped on stage causing a minor wardrobe malfunction. Naturally, Mio has all the major vocals
  • Honey Sweet Tea Time is available on spotify , though is mentioned briefly in the anime. All major vocal roles go to Mugi
  • Samidare 20 Love is available on spotify. Major vocal roles go to Mio
  • Tokimeki sugar is available on spotify. Major vocal roles go to Mio
  • Fuyu No High is available on spotify. major vocal roles go to Yui
  • Tenshi Ni Furetayo is a farewell song made for Azusa because Yui, Mio, Ritsu, and Mugi are graduating from high school that year. Everyone has some sort of vocal role

Gohan Wa Okazu/U&I edit

  • Gohan Wa Okazu is played once in the anime and once in the movie and is written by Yui. "gohan wa okazu" translates to "rice is a side-dish". All major vocals go to Yui
  • U&I is played once in the anime and is written by Yui. This song was made a "thank you" to Yui's little sister, Ui. All major vocals go to Yui

  • Drumming Shining My Life is a perfect reflection of Ritsu's style. it is very fast and wild. It is available on spotify[14]
  • Yuuzora A La Carte is more of a slow song and is a perfect example of Ritsu's serious side
