Even Wikipedia starts to apply security connection in the whole site, however, it fails to prevent its Chinese branch from being banned by Great Fire Wall under Chinese Communist Party secret order. Moreover the site disallows any edition from proxy connection (includes but not least VPN and SSH) which is the main method to access Great-Fire-Wall-banned sites.
Hence let's say Wikipedia has almost died in Chinese language world. R.I.P
