Robert Radu Hervian (born June 13, 1946) is an American businessman, an English-Romanian Translator and a journalist. He was born in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, son of a renowned Romanian publicist[1]. Between 1956-57 he lived in Beijing , the Popular Republic of China where he accompanied his father working as a press correspondent for the Romanian News Agency – Agerpres.

Educated at the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest[2] he graduated in 1972 with a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 1975 Hervian emigrated to the United States and for 10 years worked as an Aerospace Engineer for several U.S. Companies, providing expertise in designing of hydraulically and electrical mechanisms employed in the aircraft and the space shuttle construction.

Since 1987 Hervian is the owner and the CEO of WORLDVISION TRAVEL[3] a Worldwide Wholesale Travel Service with headquarters in New Jersey and specialized in discounted international airfares. WORLDVISION is assisting smaller travel agencies in securing lower airfares , provides long term reduced rate transportation for American Missionaries[4] with overseas programs , as well as general sales to the public at large.

In 2002 Hervian became the U.S.Correspondent and is writing a monthly column on U.S.Politics and Culture for MINIMUM, a Tel Aviv[5] based magazine. In this capacity Hervian has also interviewed many American politicians and remarkable intellectuals like Dr.Radu Ioanid [6], Dr.Marco Zaider[7], Hon.Edward Koch [8]], Dr.Daniel Pipes [9], Douglas Feith[10], former White House Adviser Dr.David Frum[11], Pulitzer prize[12] winner David Auburn, the writers Norman Manea, Andre Aciman and others.

Robert Hervian is the English-Romanian translator for Dr. Daniel Pipes, President of the Middle East Forum. He translates Mr. Pipes's weekly column[13] in “The New York Sun[14] , “The Jerusalem Post[15]and "The National Interest" [16].

Mr.Hervian currently lives in New Jersey , with his wife.
