Aun Qutab Shah

He was a distinguished eleventh century Sufi of the Qadiriyya Order . He recieved the Khirqa from Sayyid Abdul Qadir Gillani who ordered him to go to India for propogation of Sufism.

He was a direct descendent of Imam Ali from his father and mother thus making him a Najib ut Tarafain Sayyid . His genealogy was recorded by Allama Jamaluddin Yusuf al Hilli in his famous book Khilasa tul Ansab" as follows :
