Ladybird watch, introduced in 1956[5] 'cocktail watches', was an apprentice and then became head of manufacturing, technical and commercial development, purchased the firm in 1932 when Frédéric-Emile Blancpain died, wanted to provide women the opportunity to own technical interesting and inventive watches; ladybird watch had new innovations that are now common, designed for women's wrist (narrower) [6]


changed the brand name to :“Rayville S.A., succ. de Blancpain” (no one in the Blancpain family was still alive); dive watch ('Fifty Fathoms') introduced in 1953[7]

made a cocktail watch for Marilyn Monroe; joined SSIH (Société Suisse pour I’Industrie Horlogère), in 1961[8]

when Frédéric-Emile Blancpain died there were no male heirs, FEB's daughter encouraged Friechter to take over with 'Mr. Leal'; Swiss law had to change name of company,depression was a challenge,[9] more details there,
