Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis is a Iranian missile corvette. His hull number is PC313-01. The second indiginios high-aspect-ratio twin-hull vessels unveiled on 6 January 2024 in Bandar Abbas.
Design
editAbu Mahdi corvette as other Shahid Soleimani-class corvette profits a catamaran design and features stealth capabilities, aimed at eluding enemy detection. The special design of this futuristic missile boat makes it difficult for enemy radar and reconnaissance systems to detect its presence in the waters.[2] [3]

Armament
editThe catamaran warship is equipped by warios armaments including 30, 23 and 20 mm cannons, anti-ship guided missiles with a rang of 300 km, longe range cruise missiles capable of targeting up to 750 km, and for air defence is equipped with a close range anti aircraft system called Kowsar.
Nomination
editThe corvette is named in honor of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, an Iraqi commander who was killed in same operation with Qassem Soleimani in a U.S. drone strike in 2020.[4]
