- Hot Rod (rapper) vs Young Hot Rod. I don't have any personal knowledge or interest in what this rapper's current stagename is; I just know that the cut-paste moves back and forth are getting out of hand. Thanks. --Geniac 18:39, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Quality assurance was merged into quality control a long time ago. However, someone started a new article at Quality Assurance (note the capitalization) claiming that quality control and quality assurance are not equivalent. The title should clearly be quality assurance according to the manual of style, but that page cannot be deleted to make way for the move because content from it was merged into quality control and the redirect preserves the article's history. This is not a copy and paste move, but I thought that someone might be able to merge the history. Thanks, Kjkolb 12:28, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- Quality assurance's history has been merged into quality control, and Quality Assurance has been moved to Quality assurance. Snoutwood (talk) 17:15, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- A new user, User:Humbleradio, has created the Honda Super Cub page by copy/pasting the old Honda Supercub article, and then editing it at the new location. For what it's worth, he has the title right (Here's an official Honda site for confirmation). The old article hasn't been edited since, so if Honda Supercub could be a redirect, and Honda Super Cub be an article with the history of both pages merged, that'd be grand. Cheers, --DeLarge 16:47, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

- At 14:29, July 26, 2006, User:C. C. Perez moved Rallye Automobile Monte Carlo to Monte Carlo Rally using cut and paste, leaving a redirect at the old page. Since then, as far as I can see, the old Rallye Automobile Monte Carlo article has not been edited. Therefore, I think it'd be straightforward to merge the history of the old page with the new one, although I'd like the old one left as a redirect if possible (otherwise I'll recreate it). Looking at the user's edit history, I think he's moved a lot of pages in the same manner, but this is the only one I'm concerned with. --DeLarge 22:50, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- KJS is requested to cut and paste to KDE's JavaScript engine as I want to create a new disambiguation page for KJS to provide links to both KDE's JavaScript engine and Kowloon Junior School.
- Somebody redirected the article Indonesian-sounding names adopted by Indonesian-Chinese [1] without moving the page, and then Moe Epsilon blanked the article and changed the redirect to Haji Mohammad Suharto.[2] I think the latter is some sort of vandalism (I'm not sure) since Haji Mohammad Suharto has suppressed Chinese culture during his rule and this may be a disrespect towards Chinese Indonesian. Anyway, I moved the talk page[3] but the original article's history [4]is still there. So, can someone move its history? (and perhaps do something about Moe Epsilon) Thanks. - It looks as though User:Mattwebb24 has moved Matthew Webb to Captain Matthew Webb and then put in his own vanity page at Matthew Webb. Can this be sorted? --mervyn 13:06, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- Not a cut and paste move, but I deleted the new matthew webb page (csd a7, nn-bio) and reverted the move. - Bobet 13:10, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sukkah was cut&pasted to Sukkah (Talmud). In fact, the page originally existed at [[Sukkah (Talmud}]], but was moved to Sukkah (tractate) in another cut&paste move on July 11, shortly after I created the page in the first place. On July 19, the page was moved (normally) to Sukkah by a well-intentioned administrator. The problem is that the vast majority of people typing "Sukkah" will want Sukkot, not Sukkah (Talmud).
- I did not put up the {{db-histmerge}} template because I was confused about whether this would result in the article being speedy-deleted. --Eliyak T·C 15:54, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

- This one is my own fault; I did a good job of botching things awfully before I understood the move procedure. It's actually two separate cut-and-pastes, performed to clear up confusion between two similar-sounding newspapers - one of the articles had a confused mix of information relating to both papers, and redirects made it difficult to find both. First, after editing Press-Enterprise (California) somewhat myself, I cut its content and redirected it to The Press-Enterprise (California), the new page where I pasted the content. Then, I cut the content of the disambig page Press Enterprise and pasted it into Press Enterprise (disambiguation), another new page that I created. I then redirected Press Enterprise to Press Enterprise (Pennsylvania), an existing page with none of these history integrity problems. I left edit descriptions describing everything I did, but didn't understand about page history until after the whole affair. I apologize sincerely and hope it's not too difficult to fix. Repenting,Tobogganoggin 08:17, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- Done, I think. It was done by 3 separate admins (for some reason) so if you see something wrong with it, please tell. There was a third cut and paste move 2 years ago (from the current dab page to the LA paper) so I reverted that too. - Bobet 16:45, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- Conquistador and Conquistadores. The article now at the latter was cut-and-paste moved from the former to create a disambiguation page. The article should probably be at conquistador with the disambig at Conquistador (disambiguation). Thryduulf 16:49, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

- Big Ben, Clock Tower, Palace of Westminster and Big Ben (disambiguation) - Big Ben was moved to Clock Tower, Palace of Westminster via cut-n-paste on the 29th August [5]. Then Big Ben (disambiguation) was copied over Big Ben. History of Big Ben after the 29th needs merging into Big Ben (disambiguation). History of Big Ben prior to 29th needs merging into Clock Tower, Palace of Westminster. Then Big Ben can be turned into a redirect for Clock Tower, Palace of Westminster. -- Solipsist 19:38, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Fake (manga) and Fake (anime) cut and pasted to a new article, Fake (manga & anime). I reverted the redirects on both Fake (manga) and Fake (anime) thus reverting both articles to its original states, and added a history merge template on the new Fake (manga & anime) article, however, unfortunately, it was cut and pasted from both Fake (manga) and Fake (anime). You can see the differences here (I copied and pasted the current version to the old page to see the differences and then reverted). I do not know if the changes are significant enough to require a history merge or not. Also, there is a move request on the talk page of Spanish Foreign Legion that needs to be closed. - OK, here's the deal: Somebody copy/pasted Hatley Park over to Hatley Park National Historic Site. I wasn't aware of the policy about this, so I turned Hatley Park into a redirect. - Chloroma. I accidentally moved this page to Chloromabb, then compounded my error by moving it to BBBcoma. Finally I cut-and-pasted the text back onto the CHLOROMA page, which was a mistake. Anyhoo, the actual text of the article should be on the page named "Chloroma" (the other two were typos), but I've destroyed the edit history by accident. - There were originally two duplicate articles, Armatoloi and Armatoles (the latter being the much better article). The following happened:
- I turn Armatoloi into a redirect to existing Armatoles ([10])
- User:Sshadow, preferring the other name, turns Armatoles into a redirect to Armatoloi ([11]) and copy-pastes the contents to Armatoloi ([12]). The result is breaking the page histories.
- Then, User:Sshadow moves Armatoles (the redirect) to a third location, Armatoli. As Armatoles was already a redirect target from two other locations, the result now is a threefold redirect Armatolik/Armatoliki->Armatoles->Armatoli->Armatoloi.
- I have no strong opinion about whether to have the article at Armatoloi or Armatoles, but I think the breaking of the page history is a problem. At the same time, I'd like to preserve the history of the old, obsolete Armatoloi article too (it might be needed for merging further bits of content.) To clean this up technically, perhaps the following would be good:
- revert the redirects made by User:Sshadow
- move the old Armatoloi article to a temporary subpage (Armatoloi/old)
- make a clean move from the good original Armatoles article to its preferred location Armatoloi (assuming that there are no strong objections from other editors.) This needs admin powers.
- Clean up the redirects from Armatoli, Armatolik, Armatoliki.

- Okay, I've merged Armatoli to Armatoloi, as the histories had been moved around a bit since you posted this request. Cleaning up the redirects now. AmiDaniel (talk) 22:52, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ahem, no, not really - the moving around of the histories was confusing enough, but I think it was really only just those steps I described above. I see you've now merged the histories. I'd have personally preferred to keep them apart (the subpage solution I mentioned above), but I suppose it's okay like this too. Just makes it a bit involved reading the history. Fut.Perf. ☼ 22:55, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- We have to keep the histories together for GFDL compliance (and general sensibility, so it's clear who wrote what), as it requires us to attribute all authors (see Wikipedia:Text of the GNU Free Documentation License#4. MODIFICATIONS, B). Snoutwood (talk) 15:05, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

- Recently, editors have been making articles for the separate episodes of Xiaolin Showdown. What they didn't know (or didn't bother to check) was that there redirects for several episodes that were either once articles or had been made as redirects for when such an article would be made. I (regrettably) did some cut and paste moves to ameliorate the situation for two articles, and this one has not been dealt with yet. In the future, I will use WP:Requested moves. - Template:Db-vandalism (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) -- as with so many Cool Cat (many of those I've brought here), he created the new page, and then did a redirect from the old page Template:Vandalism (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) shortly afterward. Please merge the latter history to the former. --William Allen Simpson 03:12, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- All of the articles in this list were tagged for speedy delete to do a history merge. They were taking up a lot of space in the speedy category, since they were not being deleted, so I brought them here (perhaps some were completed, though). My apologies if this was the wrong thing to do. Still, I think it would be easier to deal with the articles together. The current name is listed first and "the page to be merged here" according to the tag is second. -- Kjkolb 09:43, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

- Peter Stastny - Ongoing revert war about diacritics has somehow left the page history at Peter Sastny. Other info might be at the diacritic page, Peter Šťastný. BoojiBoy 23:23, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Nonfiction to Non-fiction and Talk:Nonfiction to Talk:Non-fiction -- a very old copy and paste move from 2004-09-22 21:14:35 by Eequor (talk · contribs). I just happened upon it while looking up the history for a CfD reference. That part is straightforward. But this is complicated by the fact of two Talk pages continuing to work sporadically in parallel. Please merge them and redirect Talk:nonfiction. --William Allen Simpson 19:57, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Sears, Roebuck and Company and Sears. The article existed at Sears, Roebuck and Company before this revision cut-and-paste moved it to Sears. It was moved back to Sears, Roebuck and Company on this edit. The article resided at Sears between this edit and this edit, and this needs to be merged into the history of Sears, Roebuck and Company. - This is a bit of a complex one... Half of Eclair and Lumiere (Kiddy Grade) was split off to Éclair (Kiddy Grade) then the page was renamed Lumière (Kiddy Grade). The information in Lumière (Kiddy Grade) was then merged with the information in Éclair (Kiddy Grade) which was then moved to Éclair and Lumiere (Kiddy Grade) leaving most of the out as well as the talk page. Basically, I think the history of Lumière (Kiddy Grade) needs to be merged into Éclair and Lumiere (Kiddy Grade). Shiroi Hane 14:02, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2006_%26lt%3Baugust-gen%26gt%3B_4 (can't seem to get it to show up in wiki markup) needs to be merged with the proper page, Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2006 August 4 . There was a screwup behind the scenes with a variable. -- nae'blis 22:12, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- There is something really weird going on with this one. I don't appear able to move the page for some reason, as every time I do it freezes up on me. I'm talking to the devs to see what's going on, but as of yet, I haven't found anyone able to move it. AmiDaniel (talk) 20:11, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
- I can't do it either. Snoutwood (talk) 06:01, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- For the record, the buggy page has been deleted now (not that you can search for it in the deletion log, either). If I didn't have to code it as an external link, you'd see it's been redlinked, and the history copy-pasted into the correct article by hand. This can probably be closed now... hope all the other ones from that day/those days got caught, though. -- nae'blis 18:50, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

- Buckminster Fuller to R. Buckminster Fuller -- Not being an administrator, I was unable to effect this change due to a redirect already in place from the desired target. When I made a request for this to be done, it was erroneously put to a vote. My proposal is consistent with the [Wikipedia naming convention] and should therefore be carried out without further discussion.
- You are incorrect in two ways: First, the naming convention says to use common names, which in this case would not be R. Buckminster Fuller, but Buckminster Fuller. Second, you must gain consensus before requesting a move such as this. If the move to R. Buckminster Fuller is agreed upon, bring it back. Otherwise, the move will not be performed.
