The Hostomel Hromada (Ukrainian: Гостомельська територіальна громада, [Hostomel's'ka terytorial'na hromada] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is a unit of local self-government (a hromada—or community) in Kiev Oblast, located in northern Ukraine. Its administrative center is located in the settlement of Hostomel, for which the hromada is named for.[1] Its population was 24,450 as of 1 January 2015[update].[2]
The hromada's administrative boundaries comprise much of the boundaries of the former Irpin City Council, which was a local self-government unit that was dissolved following Ukrainian constitutional reform in 2016–2017 as part of the wider decentralization reforms.
Administrative divisions
editIn summer 2015, four populated settlements voluntarily united together to form the Hostomel Hromada, which was allowed under legislation passed by the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament. These populated settlements are:[2][3]
