This is the first time to use Wikipedia as a registered user (Sept. 2015). But I've learned so much from it in the past few years in various fields of study. Wikipedia is just like an instructor during my academic study. I could refer to it in any time as long as I have conception questions.

Hobbies:

  2. Doodle: I love doodle on my notebook or mobile app while boring. It really makes my life more interesting.
  3. Classical guitar: There is quite few people play the classical guitar among Chinese young men. Its beautiful sound could make everybody feel peace.

My Interesting On Social Computing

edit

I'm learning Social Computing course in "2015 Fall" semester, the area that I'm always interested in. Social computing could improve users experience through computational devices. I love analysing people's behaviours and also love studying computing technology. What the social computing focuses are perfectly meet all my interests.

Here I select three specific topics in social computing as my most interested in this area. I wish we could have nice discussions and study together over these topics.

Interesting Topics

  1. Social psychology: This topic may have no relationship with technology, but it is truly the foundation of social computing. Only you learn how people are influenced by information around them clearly, can you make a further study to adopt appropriate computing technology.
  2. Reputation system: Just like honor system in society, the online world also needs a system to guarantee reputation to users. Also people have more and more activities online nowadays, then how to trust others and have a further collaboration with them became a big problem. I believe the reputation system could provide benefits not only to offering users but also accepting ones. By ranking, users could judge others much easier.
  3. Collaborative filtering: This is one of the most important technologies in social computing, and is wildly used by plenty of social media. Collaborative filtering could monitor users preferences and tastes, then recommend something accordingly. This technology no doubt makes social media "catch" users tightly.
