- Background: I patrol new pages
There are many times when I nominate a page for speedy deletion or add it to the Articles for Deletion discussion pages, and a user complains, but it's not advertising! How is that advertising? So I don't have to type the same thing over and over, here's why it's advertising:
- The only content of the article is to declare that a product exists, and a link is provided to the product's website.
- The article is about a company, with no third-party coverage, and text like "our company" appears in the article. (Generally, these articles are deleted as WP:A7, unremarkable company.)
- The article is about a band with no sources except links to Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, LinkedIn, and/or the Official Website.
- The article is about anything, with no sources except links to Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, LinkedIn, and/or the Official Website.
- The article is about a band who hasn't released an album, or is about to release one, or has released some number of mixtapes. See garage, please.
