Reception edit

Despite feeling positive about the games themselves, USA Today writer Dave Aubrey was unimpressed by Koraidon and Miraidon. He felt that the designs themselves were acceptable, but the way they moved was not. He felt that the concept was something his "ten-year-old brain would draw as a Digimon concept." He felt more positively towards Koraidon than Miraidon due to it feeling organic, criticizing Miraidon as just being a motorcycle and finding its existence questionable in the lore of the games. However, he did find the wheels on Koraidon confusing due to them not being used.[1] Koraidon's wheels were discussed by fans and other critics, including The Gamer writer George Foster, who questioned why Koraidon had wheels if it didn't use them.[2] Fellow The Gamer writer Stacey Henley felt similarly, expressing frustration over Koraidon not actually being a motorcycle. She felt that making the tires purely aesthetic hurts Koraidon's design, finding they do not contribute anything of value, and that Koraidon would be much cooler without them.[3] Game Rant writer Smangaliso Silemane enjoyed Koraidon and Miraidon's level of power, feeling that it was not as unfair as other legendaries have been, such as Zacian, without being too weak either.[4]
