Awards and Achievements edit

Younger took pride in being a Girl Scout growing up. While being a Girl Scout, she received the Gold Award. This award is the highest award achievable for a Girl scout. [1]

Activism edit

Younger focuses on the intersections of gender and race. She also serves on initiatives to shape and change the narrative of women and girls, including Grantmakers for Girls of Color, Funders for Reproductive Equity, Philanthropy New York and Black Funders for Social Justice. Additionally, Younger serves on a number of boards including the Ethel Walker School and Essie Justice Group. [1]

On the topic of abortion, she states: "Abortion bans attack women's health and rights. Women of color and low-wage, immigrant and rural women disproportionately bear the burden of reproductive health restrictions, and this ban is no exception. We stand with West Virginia women and call on the Legislature to follow the governor's leadership by allowing his veto to stand."[3]
