'Nawin Seetharaman' (தமிழ் : நவின் சீதாராமன்) Nawin Seetharaman (nawin) is an Indian filmmaker, Actor, Writer, Director, Screenwriter, Lyricist and Journalist.

Early Life

He was born and brought in a remote village in Sivagangai district , SOORAGUDI, which is 15 kms from a well know Historical town Kalaiyarkoil.

His Father G.S.Seetharaman was a well known (as GS), honest, very straight forward communist politician, Society President, Panchayat (Melamarungoor) President etc., He had dedicated his entire life for the welfare of the under privileged people. He had taken many initiatives for everyday Basic Living, Pure Drinking Water, Proper Roads, Bus Service connecting villages to towns.

In 1980’s people from those villages had to walk atleast 15 kms to take a bus to neighboring towns. To achieve these fundamental Needs and Rights, Mr.Seetharaman had conducted Hundreds of Awareness Meetings, Hunger Strikes, Protesting for the people and Nawin joined hands with his Father from his childhood. Under this influence he has acquired some of the qualities of his father and his provocative thoughts were towards the well being of the village people.

Career

Nawin Seetharaman completed his Masters education and served as a Quality Assurance Manager in Seafood Processing Plants. He had worked in countries abroad in such positions. Apart from the work career he had a constant thirst and Passion for movies (Inspired by The Universal Hero "Kamal Hassan") and Media, which existed from his childhood and was always seeking for opportunities.

Personal Life

Due to the Job opportunity, His Wife had to move to USA, hence He being left behind with no Choice, also had to move to USA and from then on, he decided to achieve in Movies and Media his full time career. His patriotic thoughts combined with his passion for tamil, paved way in starting the Tamil Dynamic News and Entertainment Portal http://www.adhikaalai.com

During his college days he had run handwritten magazines (NEE) and also been a freelance writer for various leading magazines which were eventually helpful.

Film Career

As for his Film Career he worked as a Production Coordinator in the '''Hollywood''' based Tamil film Achamundu Achamundu, which gave him an opportunity to work with the hollywood crew and adopt their methodologies in film making. This movie won the “Garden state Best Feature” award in New Jersey (USA), also played in the Shanghai movie festival. Achchamundu Achchamundu’ directed by Arun Vaidyanathan and starring Hollywood Emmy Award Winner '''John Shea''', Tamil Actor Prasanna and Sneha.

His next hollywood based Bilingual movie is “Panithuli” (Tamil) and “Tum Ho Yaara” (Hindi) directed by Natty Kumar. Nawin Seetharaman acted in this movie with Ganesh Venkatraman, Kalpana Pandit. He also worked as an Associate Director and wrote a lyrics for Panithuli.

He acted in the movie “Thambi Vettothi Sundaram” along with well known actors Karan, Bala Singh and Anjai, Directed by V.C.Vadivudaiyan.

He started his film career with doing programmes for Televisions and had acted in couple of Tamil movies, Teleserials, and multi talented television programmes for SUN TV, Jaya TV, DD, Vijay TV, Raj TV etc. He acted couple of tamil movies like Manasatchi, Aagaya Jannal, Sibi.

He also directed couple of Short Movies.

Interests

Few of his Short Stories, Articles, Political views, Translations, published in various Printed as well as Online magazines under the names (தமிழில் : நவநீ, நவின், சென்னை நவின், அதிகாலை நவின், மனுநீதி, தமிழன், நிருபன்) Navanee, Nawin, Chennai Nawin, Manuneedhi, Thamizhan and Nirupan.

‘Where to Study, What to Study’ is an English book which guides students fresh-out from school to choose a career path based on Job opportunities. He felt that this book will be more beneficial for students who come from village, since it was in English he took tremendous effort in translating it to Tamil “Enna Padikkalam, Engu Padikkalam”. There has been a lot of good feedback for the tamil version.

He translated various motivational stories from English to Tamil
