Slipknot's self-titled album featured two songs that were released as singles: "Wait and Bleed" and "Spit It Out."[1][2] "Wait and Bleed" peaked number twenty-seven on the UK Singles Chart as well as charting on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.[3][4] "Spit It Out" peaked twenty-eight on the UK Singles Chart.[4] "The Heretic Anthem," Iowa's first single did not chart on any charts. However, "Left Behind" debuted on two charts along with "My Plague" peaking twenty-four on the UK Singles Chart.[4] Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)'s "Duality" charted on eight different charts, including the Billboard 200 chart.[3][4][5][6][7][8] The album's second single, "Vermilion," peaked fourteen on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and "Before I Forget" peaked number eleven.[3] 9.0: Live's only single, "The Nameless," peaked twenty-five on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.[3] "All Hope Is Gone" peaked twenty-eight on the Swedish charts.[5] "Psychosocial" charted on eight charts and was number 102 on the Billboard 200 chart.[3][4][5][9][6][7] "Dead Memories" peaked number three on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and "Sulfur" peaked eighteen on the same chart.[3] "Snuff" peaked number two on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.[3]

In 2000, "Wait and Bleed" won the Best Single award and in 2001,[10] and was nominated for the Best Metal Performance award.[11] "Left Behind" was nominated for the same award in 2002 and "My Plague" was nominated for the Best Video award the same year.[12][13] In 2003, "My Plague" was nominated for the Best Metal Performance award.[14] "Duality" was nominated for the Best Hard Rock Performance in 2005 along with "Vermillion" being nominated for the Best Metal Performance award in the same year. "Duality" was also nominated for the Best Video award in 2004.[15] "Before I Forget" won the Best Metal Performance award in 2006.[16] "Psychosocial" was nominated for the Best Video award in 2008 and was nominated for the Best Metal Performance award in 2009.[17][18] The song was also nominated for the Best Single award in in 2009.[19] It was nominated for the Best Rock Video award in 2008, and won the Best Riff award in 2009 along with winning the Best Video award and the Solo of the Year award, both in 2008.[20][21][22] The songs "Purity" and "Frail Limb Nursery" were both removed from the original issue of Slipknot and were both replaced by "Me Inside" on the reissue.[23][24] "Purity" was restored on their 10th Anniversary Edition of the album.[25]
