Bert Rodriguez Bert Rodriguez (born May 31, 1975) is a contemporary American visual artist based in [[1]]. His practice spans a broad range of media including performance, neon, sculpture and video.

Life and Work
editEducation
editRodriguez studied art at the New World School of the Arts, graduating with a BFA in 1998. In 1999 he studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Portland, Maine.
Works
editHis work has appeared internationally in many museum exhibitions such as In Your Own Image: The Best of Bert Rodriguez Vol !; Where You End and I Begin. a survey show presented by the [Museum of Art] in Miami Beach, FL. (2009). In the Beginning . . . for the 2008 [Biennial] in New York where he built a white therapy cube and gave participants therapy sessions every day for three weeks. @@@ A Wall I Built With My Father and A Meal I Made With My Mother two site-specific installations for Le Plateau, FRAC Ile de France, Paris in 2008. His work is held in public collections including: Rubell Family Collection, [of Contemporary Art North Miami ], Miami Art Museum and [Museum of Art], Missouri. He shows at Fredric Snitzer Gallery in Miami. He is the subject of the 2011 feature-length documentary film, Making Shit Up. ###
