An Abridged Series in terms of web based series, is where you take a well known animated show/Japanese Anime and shorten it through omission while retaining the basic plot points. To create such a series an abridger must have basic knowledge of video editing techniques and some voice acting skill. Many famous abridgers include Little Kuriboh (Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series), TeamFourStar (Dragon Ball Z: The Abridged Series), PurpleEyesWTF, OneKidsEntertainment (Pokemon: The Abridged Series and Death Note: The Abridged Series) and MasakoX (Naruto: The Abridged Series).
