Jocelyn Chau (Chinese: 仇栩欣; born 31 August 1996) is a Hong Kong District Councillor for the City Garden constituency for the Eastern District Council. Before entering politics, she was a bank accountant.[1]

Early life edit

Born in British Hong Kong, Chau studied at University of New Zealand and then entered the business world to work as accountant for a bank.[1]

Protests of 2019–2020 edit

In December 2019, during the 2019 protests against the extradition bill, Chau was charged for allegedly assaulting a police officer in North Point in August.[2] Although arrested in August,[3] she was released on bail but was re-arrested when charged in December.[4]
