Alfie Gets-in First new article content ...The title of one of a series of children's books recording the exploits of 'Alfie' were very popular in the 1970's due to the well told story and attractively drawn figurative graphics by the popular artist and author Shirley Hughes who has had many accolades for her work which has been enjoyed by millions of children and over 11 million copies of her books have been sold overall.

Alfie is the first to go into his home after his busy mother opens the door. She leaves the door open while she goes back to get the buggy and baby but Alfie slams the door shut and unfortunately the keys are inside and mother is outside.
