Colin Dopp

   Hall of Fame baseball and basketball player. With a 400 career batting average, Colin is considered one of the greatest contact hitters of all time. His preferred position on the baseball field was second base, although he was also able to play in the outfield. He ended his career with a solid 400 homeruns and 1500 R.B.I (Runs Batted In). Many of his teammates enjoyed playing on his team because his jokes and sense of humor in the club house. He played his collegiate baseball at The University of North Carolina, while wearing number 27 and playing second base. During college his parents attended most of Colin's games. He was drafted in the MLB with the third overall pick to the New York Yankees. Which was his childhood dream since he was a young boy (along with playing professional basketball). He ended up being an MLB all-star in all 18 years as a player, playing for the Yankees in every one of those years. Little did he know he would also be selected by The New York Knicks later that year. While playing basketball Colin played point guard. Averaging a triple double Colin is considered the greatest player of all time. He was an All-star for 17 of the 19 years played. He played for The Knicks 16 out of the 19 years he played. The last three years he was on The warriors and Bulls. Rounding out his career in the announcers booth announcing for both the Knicks and Yankees. He is considered one of the most influential athletes in the New York area and his legacy will last for centuries
