  • Fort Mountain: the article could use some ref. to flora and fauna, as well as past industry (mining, logging, CCC activity). It might also be interesting to add fact and ref for when Ivan Allen bought the mountain. One of the existing refs has that fact.
  • On Fort Mountain: reread refs and sentences derived from same to make sure you did not combine sources in a way that amounted to O.R., such as drawing a conclusion or fudging a fact-to-source relationship.

Tips and tutorials

User sandboxes are for writing rough drafts of an article, perfecting the formatting of the draft, and editing markup in the draft.

User talk pages are for communication with other editors.

Use four tildes (~~~~) to sign comments on a user talk page. It is not necessary to sign an edit summary; it will be auto-signed by the system. On your phone, when logged in, I think the tildes aren't needed.

Don't edit any formatting elements on a page without reviewing the markup code on that page or a similar page. Don't change anything on your user talk page unless you are seeking help from an experienced editor. Don't put anything on an article talk page unless you need an editor to doublecheck an edit you made. Talk pages are for discussions only.

Avoid using actual template code or script code on talk pages. Adding it could trigger a function, such as a help call. Instead, use the sandbox to insert code or script in an article.

Using scripts and codes in a sandbox page could also trigger functions. For instance, adding four tildes in the above text without adding the "nowiki" tags causes the user's signature to appear in the text. In order to display four tildes as plain text, special markup is needed. This user has not fully tested the use of scripts or codes.

Thoughts and Experiences edit

While my ability to edit pages has improved a bit, I am still puzzled by page behavior and how it responds to formatting changes. For instance, on my talk page, I added a new discussion and two previous discussions or talk topics disappeared from the mobile view. The content still exists and is visible when the user selects "Read as Wiki page." I could not tell if this was due to something in my markup code, a result of automatic content archiving, or a normal difference between the desktop and mobile page view. Previously, I had changed the code in the individual-discussion subject heads to display in larger fonts, as talk page subsections. This may have changed the function of the discussion-topic list itself.
